André Ventura, leader of Chega, directed accusations at Aguiar-Branco, claiming that he is attempting to obstruct the scrutiny of the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission investigating Luís Neves. According to Ventura, this act reflects Aguiar-Branco's obsession with protecting Neves, which raises questions about the impartiality of the ongoing investigation.

Ventura, who will chair the Commission, plans to propose that the investigations do not pause during the budget discussion period, a measure aimed at ensuring the continuity of the process. His stance highlights the importance he places on transparency in investigations related to Luís Neves.

Today, Ventura expressed his intention to seek dialogue with the President of the Assembly of the Republic, in an effort to advance his claims. His statements reflect a tense atmosphere in national politics, particularly regarding Aguiar-Branco's actions in the Assembly.

The situation is particularly relevant given the context of parliamentary inquiry commissions in Portugal, which have been a means to scrutinize various governmental and administrative issues. Ventura's insistence on not allowing interruptions in the investigation can be seen as an attempt to push for greater accountability.

On the other hand, Aguiar-Branco has not publicly responded to the accusations thus far. The lack of reaction may influence the public and political perception of both figures at a time when trust in institutions is under scrutiny.

In addition to the tensions in parliament, it was also noted that the Israeli Defense Minister ordered the army to raise alert levels, though there is no clear connection between this action and the events happening in the Assembly of the Republic in Portugal.
