An electrical failure in the control tower at Barcelona-El Prat airport has caused delays in flights. The situation affected both departures and arrivals, leading to a temporary halt in operations at certain times.
According to Aena via its social media, by 2:00 PM, the incident had resulted in ten diversions of scheduled flights. However, it was noted that the issue was already being addressed.
For several hours, airport users experienced negative impacts on their itineraries due to the situation, but it was indicated that operations were gradually recovering following the resolution of the fault.
