The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that it will conduct a re-examination for 49 candidates who were unable to complete their tests due to a power failure at the examination center in Jaipur. The original exam, part of the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET), took place on August 22.

According to reports, the power interruption occurred at Satya Sai PG College in Transport Nagar for about 20 minutes during the two-hour examination, which began at 10 a.m. The outage significantly impacted the candidates' ability to finish the test, prompting the decision for a re-examination.

The NTA has scheduled the re-exam for September 1. Affected candidates will receive revised admit cards including details of their new examination center. This measure aims to ensure that those impacted by the disruption have an opportunity to complete their test under fair conditions.

In light of the incident, the NTA has issued a show-cause notice to the private agency responsible for managing the examination at the Jaipur center. The agency has faced scrutiny due to the disruption, although the NTA has not disclosed the exact nature of the failure that led to the outage.

The responsible agency's suspension and the re-exam for affected candidates have generated discussions among stakeholders regarding the reliability of examination processes. The NTA has emphasized its commitment to providing a fair testing environment for all candidates.
