The price of diesel has once again reached levels prior to the implementation of the excise decree. According to the Fuel Price Observatory of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (Mimit), the cost of diesel on the highway is currently set at €2.173 per liter.

Data shows that the price has remained stable, confirming at €2.173 per liter, the same value recorded on August 4, the day the government extended the excise cut until August 25.

In comparison, the average price of self-service gasoline on the highway has reached €2.073 per liter, an increase from the €2.071 recorded the day before.

The price of diesel at regular stations has risen, positioning itself at €2.099 per liter, a rise that reflects recent market dynamics. The situation is influenced by tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, which keep crude oil prices around $90 per barrel.

Current fluctuations in fuel prices are being constantly monitored by authorities, with the Mimit Observatory providing regular updates on consumer costs.

This change in prices marks a return to values that were experienced before government measures, highlighting the fluctuations in the fuel market in response to economic and political factors.
