On Monday evening, the Dutch hockey players secured their place in the semi-finals of the World Cup held in their home country. In Amstelveen, they played a 2-2 draw against England, which earned them the top spot in the group stage.

The match against England was intense and physical, taking place in Amsterdamse Bos. The Netherlands faced a strong opponent, who had not won against Oranje in their last 25 encounters, but managed to secure a draw nonetheless.

With the draw, the Dutch hockey players remain in the tournament and are group winners in the second phase. This result was sufficient to advance to the next round, despite the nerve-wracking nature of the match.

The semi-final now gives the Netherlands the opportunity to compete against Spain. This team is coached by Max Caldas, who previously was in charge of both the men's and women's teams in the Netherlands.

The semi-final is scheduled for this Friday at 18:00 in Amstelveen. The other semi-final will take place between Argentina and Germany.

By reaching the semi-finals, the men are following in the footsteps of the Dutch women's team, who earlier also progressed to this round.
