Electric 16E project in Lisbon is open for public consultation
The electric 16E project offers five route alternatives, open for public consultation until September 30.

The project for the new electric line 16E, which will connect Terreiro do Paço to Parque Tejo in Lisbon, is currently open for public consultation. The proposal was presented by the municipal company Carris and includes five route solutions, aiming to promote a sustainable transport option in the city.
The definition of the route is based on the Sustainable Intermodal Line project, which seeks to integrate different modes of transport in the Portuguese capital. According to the available documents, all proposed alternatives were deemed viable by the Environmental Impact Study (EIA).
Among the options for the route, the possibility of passing through Avenida Dom João II stands out. This variation aims to address different mobility needs for residents and visitors to the city.

The public consultation allows citizens to participate, as they can express their opinions and suggestions regarding the proposed routes. Interested parties have until September 30 to contribute their comments.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize and expand the public transport network in Lisbon, aiming to enhance service quality and accessibility. The electric 16E project is one of several initiatives underway in the city.
