Today, Famalicão recorded their first victory in the 2026/27 Primeira Liga by thrashing Nacional 4-0 in a match of the seventh round held in Funchal. This win temporarily moved Famalicão up to 11th place in the table, bringing their total to seven points from seven matches played.

Nacional, now suffering their fifth consecutive defeat, remains in 15th place with only four points. The team has struggled to deliver satisfactory performances so far in this league edition, sinking lower in the standings.

During the match, Famalicão displayed a strong offensive performance, scoring four goals and effectively controlling the game. This victory was crucial for the team, which is fighting to distance itself from the relegation zone.

The match also featured a red card, which may have influenced the outcome, but the details of this incident were not specified in the consulted sources. The expulsion added a layer of tension to the game, though it was not directly related to Nacional's defeat.

Following the victory, Famalicão aims to stabilize their performance in the upcoming rounds, seeking to improve their position in the standings, while Nacional works to turn around their current poor form.

Both teams will certainly reevaluate their strategies as the Primeira Liga progresses, aiming to secure more positive results in their quests for survival and better rankings.
