A Japanese man left his seven-year-old son alone for hours while he was climbing Mount Fuji. The boy, feeling tired, remained at an altitude of about 2,500 meters as his father and older brother continued to ascend.

According to reports from local media and police, the boy was found on a hiking trail and subsequently placed in the care of authorities. He only had a few snacks and a soft drink with him, raising concerns about his well-being.

It is reported that the father had told the boy to wait while he and his other son aimed to reach the summit. This indicated a waiting time of about 7.5 hours before they would return, as reported by Japanese media.

Police emphasized that it is irresponsible to leave a young child alone in such circumstances. After the boy's discovery, the father received a warning from authorities for his negligence.

The man continued the climb even after the boy complained of fatigue, highlighting the situation's seriousness. Local media have drawn attention to the risks of leaving children alone in the wild.

The incident has sparked a debate about responsible parental behavior during outdoor activities, especially in challenging environments like Mount Fuji.
