The National Association of Federal Police Delegates (ADPF) requested, in a statement released on August 5, that the Attorney General of the Republic, Paulo Gonet, declare himself disqualified in the investigation concerning a report from the Federal Police. This inquiry was requested by Minister André Mendonça of the Federal Supreme Court (STF).

The ADPF's request involves the potential interference in a report that mentions Daniel Vorcaro's relationship with Minister Alexandre Moraes and with the Attorney General himself. The association emphasizes the need to ensure impartiality during the investigation of the facts.

Furthermore, the ADPF requested that Gonet be disqualified from participating in procedures concerning facts in which he is mentioned in the context of Operation Compliance Zero, which investigates Banco Master. This request is driven by concerns about ethics in the inquiry into situations involving the conduct of the attorney general himself.

The issue is intensified as the investigations revolve around communications that Gonet had with Vorcaro, increasing the necessity for transparent and unbiased treatment in this case.

The Attorney General has already informed the STF that he will conduct an investigation into the conduct of the Federal Police, in response to the requests and concerns expressed by the ADPF. The Association asserts that Gonet's lack of disqualification could compromise the progress of the investigation.

The development of this case will be closely monitored, given its potential impact on the handling of future investigations involving prominent names in Brazilian politics.
