FIR Filed Against Mamata Banerjee for High Court Order Violation
A case has been registered against Mamata Banerjee and TMCP organisers for allegedly violating a Calcutta High Court order during an event in Kolkata.

An FIR has been filed against former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and organisers of the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) at the Hastings Police Station. This legal action is reportedly due to an alleged violation of a Calcutta High Court order during a celebration of TMCP's foundation day on August 28.
According to reports, the Calcutta High Court had granted permission for the event but stipulated that one flank of the road should be kept open. However, it has been claimed that supporters of the TMCP pushed through barricades and clashed with police personnel, leading to disruptions of traffic on Cathedral Road.
The FIR highlights that the programme allegedly extended beyond the time permitted by the court. The incident has raised concerns over adherence to the judicial mandate, as well as implications for public order during the event.

The police confirmed the registration of the FIR against Banerjee and the other event organisers, emphasizing their responsibility to comply with court directives.
This case comes amid ongoing political activities in West Bengal, where public gatherings and events are frequently subject to legal scrutiny. The situation remains dynamic as authorities continue to monitor the development of this case.
