Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, a presidential candidate for the Liberal Party (PL), was in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, on Saturday (29) for a campaign event. During his visit, he presented a series of proposals related to the energy sector and infrastructure in the region.

Bolsonaro advocated for an expansion of nuclear energy generation, including the completion of the Angra 3 nuclear power plant, which is currently in the licensing phase. He also emphasized the importance of unlocking environmental licenses for the construction of resorts and large enterprises in the area, which, according to him, would help transform the region into a globally recognized tourist hub.

Alongside vice-presidential candidate Alfredo Gaspar, Bolsonaro participated in a motorcycle rally and a boat procession, engaging with local supporters. The presence of allied political figures highlighted the candidate's strategy to strengthen his support base in the region.

Bolsonaro argued that the exploration of oil and gas at the Mouth of the Amazon should also be authorized, reiterating his view that these sectors are essential for the country's economic development.

At the event, Flávio Bolsonaro reinforced the need to prioritize these energy and infrastructure initiatives in a potential future government, without specifying concrete plans in the event of an election victory.
