A fire in Fornos de Algodres consumed an area of shrubland and mobilized hundreds of personnel.
The fire in Fornos de Algodres is under resolution following two reignitions. The first alert was issued at five o'clock yesterday afternoon when the blaze consumed an area of shrubland in the Union of Parishes of Juncais, Vila Ruiva, and Vila Soeiro do Chão. According to RTP, weather conditions such as wind and rising temperatures hinder the firefighting operations.
To date, 354 personnel and 15 aerial resources have been mobilized to the site. Despite the efforts, difficulties continue to be reported on the ground due to adverse weather conditions.
