Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Calls for Presidential Elections During War
Michael Fedorov, former Minister of Defense of Ukraine, has called for presidential elections despite the ongoing conflict in a video appeal.

Michael Fedorov, the former Minister of Defense of Ukraine, has called in a nine-minute video released on his YouTube channel for finding a "legal, safe, and realistic mechanism" to conduct presidential elections in the country even amid the ongoing war. In his video, he expressed concerns about corruption and management crises in Ukraine.
Fedorov also discussed the risk that Russia could effectively seize control of Ukrainian democracy if the war continues for an extended period. He emphasized the need to maintain democratic processes in the country and not be influenced by external forces.
The call comes at a time when Ukraine continues to face the challenges of war, and Fedorov urged that Ukraine must have the opportunity to determine its own democratic course, particularly given the circumstances of ongoing military confrontations.
