Franco Colapinto ends mixed day at the Brazilian Grand Prix in Formula 1

The Argentine driver had a varied performance during practice and qualifying for the GP in Brazil at Interlagos.

Franco Colapinto delivered a mixed performance on the first day of the Brazilian Grand Prix in Formula 1 at Interlagos. He reached third place during the first practice session but ultimately finished ninth, as reported by La Nación.

In the second practice session, Colapinto finished eleventh, surpassing Pierre Gasly, who took 14th place. Andrea Kimi Antonelli from Mercedes was the fastest in this session, highlights La Nación.

Qualifying took place in rainy conditions, leading to surprises on the grid. Colapinto was eliminated in the opening session (Q1), but due to penalties imposed on other drivers, he will start the race from 14th place, according to Infobae.

The driver and his teammate, Gabriele Minì, faced a challenging day. Minì finished seventh in the first practice session, being the best among the rookies, as mentioned by La Nación. Lando Norris from McLaren was the fastest in that session.

In a parallel event, Colapinto made his presence felt among Argentine fans at the circuit, even offering mate to Lewis Hamilton, which received a great response from the spectators, according to Clarín.

The Brazilian Grand Prix promises to be an exciting event, with many fans supporting Colapinto. The race will be broadcast on Disney+ and Fox Sports.
