The Government Accountability Office (GAO) has released a report indicating that the claims made by Elon Musk's DOGE regarding $110 billion in federal savings are inflated. The watchdog agency found that the program did not result in the promised $2 trillion in savings.
Furthermore, the GAO highlighted that 96% of the reported grant savings associated with DOGE are unverifiable, casting doubt on the legitimacy of its claims. The findings suggest a significant discrepancy between the asserted benefits and actual outcomes.
