Geppino, the first large dog to fly in cabin in Italy
A 29-kilogram, 13-year-old dog travels from Palermo to Milan with its owner, inaugurating a new service by Ita Airways.

Geppino, a 13-year-old Shar-Pei weighing 29 kilograms, made history by flying in the cabin of an Ita Airways aircraft. The flight departed from Palermo destined for Milan Linate, marking him as the first large dog to undertake such a journey in Italy.
The flight signifies the launch of a new service offered by the airline, which is dedicated to medium to large-sized dogs, allowing pets to travel in the cabin alongside their owners.

Paolo Miceli, Geppino's owner, expressed his excitement about the experience, describing the trip as a gift they wanted to give themselves to bring their dog along on their vacation.
The introduction of this service by Ita Airways may be seen as a step towards greater accessibility for travelers with pets, welcomed in a comfortable environment close to their owners.
