The German Navy conducted a successful test of an Israeli missile system known as Lora in the North Atlantic. This took place against the backdrop of new tensions in the region, with the test aimed at increasing the range of German missiles.
A Navy spokesperson confirmed the successful test of a frigate deployed to the waters between Ireland and Iceland. With the new system, missiles could be launched with a range of over 500 kilometers.

Following the test, plans to acquire the new weapon technology are set to advance. Two frigates were specifically designated for the trials and tests in the North Atlantic.
The Chief of the Navy commented on the test, describing it as a new chapter in the Navy's state of readiness. This measure is viewed in light of geopolitical challenges and the current security situation in Europe.
