Government establishes rules for federal employees' year-end recess

The Ministry of Management and Innovation has published the rules for the year-end recess of federal public servants.

On Friday (7), the Ministry of Management and Innovation announced the rules for the year-end recess for federal public servants. These regulations cover public employees, temporary contractors, and interns associated with the Federal Civil Personnel Administration System (Sipec).

The recess is organized in two periods: the first runs from December 21 to 25, and the second from December 28 to January 1, 2027. During this time, employees will have the option to participate in the recess.

It is important to highlight that participation in the recess is voluntary, meaning that employees who choose not to take part must fulfill their regular work hours as usual.

The new rules and established periods aim to promote the organization of activities within federal agencies during the year-end festivities. Therefore, all agencies must comply with these guidelines from now on.

These changes were communicated at a time when the public administration is seeking greater clarity in human resource management and work organization.
