Guinness World Record Achieved During Indian Independence Day Celebration in New York
A record was set for the 'Largest Flagpole Number' during Independence Day festivities in New Jersey, attended by Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

During the Indian Independence Day celebrations on Saturday, a Guinness World Record was achieved for the 'Largest Flagpole Number' at Veterans Memorial Park in Parsippany, New Jersey. More than 1,300 US flags were arranged to form the number '250', which was surrounded by Indian tricolours to mark the United States' semiquincentennial anniversary.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani attended the event, marking a significant presence as the first Indian American mayor of New York. These celebrations in the Tri-State area highlighted community unity and cultural pride during the observance of Indian Independence Day.
