Mónica García, the Minister of Health, was on vacation in Villafranca del Bierzo, León, when an incident occurred at a natural swimming pool. According to reports, a septuagenarian man suffered a medical emergency in the water and lost consciousness.
García was on site and took part in the attempts to revive the swimmer, who was showing signs of drowning. The minister's swift action was acknowledged by witnesses present at the rescue scene.
