Since July 28, France has been experiencing a heatwave that has lasted longer than the one recorded in 2003, according to Météo-France. This heatwave has become the third longest in the country's history, just behind those of July 2006 and July 1983.
So far, the current heatwave has experienced two peaks of intensity, the first occurring on July 29 and the second last Wednesday. Météo-France clarified that this period of heat is not yet over.
