Heavy rain causes flooding in several districts of Lima

On Sunday, August 16, heavy rain impacted several districts of Lima, including Villa El Salvador, Villa María del Triunfo, Chorrillos, and San Juan de Miraflores. The precipitation caused flooding on the streets, as well as serious complications for residents in these areas.

Homes in these districts were affected, and some neighbors had to improvise barriers to contain the accumulated water. Reports indicated that the collapse of the sewage system contributed to the extent of the problems caused by the rain.
