All universities in Hungary will now participate in the Erasmus program once again, as announced by Hungarian Minister of Education Lannert. This return follows a four-year period during which 21 institutions were excluded from the exchange program due to concerns from the EU.
The decision is part of a package of measures aimed at combating corruption. The Hungarian government has announced that it will implement such measures to address EU concerns and increase oversight of universities.
According to reports, about two dozen Hungarian universities now have the opportunity to participate in the European exchange program, which facilitates student mobility across Europe.
