Individual taxation to take effect only in 2032
Voters have approved the individual taxation scheme, which is set to be implemented on January 1, 2032.
On March 8, the public voted in favor of introducing individual taxation. The Federal Council announced that the implementation of the new regulation will take place on January 1, 2032.
The decision follows the desire to give cantons sufficient time to adjust their tax laws, rates, and social deductions. The Federal Council is thus using the longest possible timeline to ensure a smooth implementation.
