INEM workers to continue strike on September 14 and 28
INEM workers will strike in September while the government establishes minimum services.

Workers at the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) have decided to proceed with their strike on September 14 and 28. The decision was announced after a meeting at the Ministry of Internal Administration, where Rui Lázaro, president of the Emergency Medical Technicians Union (STEPH), expressed concerns about the reorganization model of the emergency service.
The government has called for minimum services to ensure the continuity of medical emergency operations during the strike days. Specific details of these services have yet to be disclosed, but the decision is part of the measures taken in response to the workers' protest.
Despite the strike, Rui Lázaro stated that both the government and INEM have not refused to engage in dialogue with the union regarding the presented demands, indicating the possibility of future discussions.
