Inflation rises to 2.9% in the eurozone and 3% in the EU in July

Inflation rates for July increased in the eurozone and the European Union after a decline in June, according to Eurostat.

The year-on-year inflation rate in the eurozone rose to 2.9% in July, while in the European Union it reached 3%. This increase follows a decline recorded in June.

Eurostat announced these figures today, confirming the preliminary estimates released the previous month. The acceleration of inflation may reflect broader trends in the region's economy.

This new data reveals a scenario where prices are on the rise after months of fluctuation, intensifying attention on the management of monetary policy in the eurozone.
