Iran has presented the United States with a proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days. This information was confirmed by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who brought the proposal to the attention of the U.S.

However, U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly rejected Iran's plan. The rejection occurred two days after Iran submitted its proposal.

Despite Trump's rejection, Iran reiterated that it maintains its demands for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. This statement was made by the Islamic Republic on Sunday (27).

In addition to diplomatic tensions, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz has also influenced financial markets. The New York Stock Exchange closed higher, which was partly attributed to a drop in oil prices related to expectations of a potential reopening of the strait.

However, investors faced pressure from rising debt prices, which could impact the stock market. The volatility related to the situation in the Strait of Hormuz continues to be a source of uncertainty in financial markets.

The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is viewed as a crucial strategic issue, given its importance for the transportation of oil and other goods. The proposal and subsequent rejection indicate a complex landscape in U.S.-Iran relations, affecting various sectors of the economy.
