Iran has presented the United States with a plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days, under certain conditions, according to Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. The proposal aims to restore maritime navigation in the area and is framed within an agreement that would require the lifting of oil sanctions and the unblocking of frozen assets by Washington.

Araqchi indicated that the plan is essentially similar to a memorandum of understanding established in June but designed for quicker implementation. The minister also emphasized that the unlocking of the maritime route is conditioned on the United States returning to its previous commitments, as reported by various sources.

The Iranian regime has maintained that the quick agreement could benefit both its economy and the political situation in the U.S., particularly with elections on the horizon. This proposal was presented during the UN General Assembly in New York and has received support from countries such as China.

Meanwhile, diverse reactions have been reported in the U.S. regarding the proposal. Some sources indicate that President Donald Trump is skeptical about Iran's demands and considers that military action may be necessary. This adds a layer of complexity to the situation, as uncertainty exists regarding Washington's response.

Concurrently, the oil market has experienced fluctuations. Reports indicate that prices for Brent and WTI have fallen following the announcement of negotiations, suggesting a possible market reaction to the prospects of an agreement.

Finally, it has been noted that the Iranian proposal includes an end to hostilities, underscoring the delicate situation amid tensions between the two countries. The international community is closely monitoring these negotiations, awaiting a response from the U.S. regarding the presented plan.
