The Institute of Registries and Notaries (IRN) reported that since June, it has recovered more than 26,000 cases that were overdue. The most significant results were observed in vehicle registrations and nationality requests, as announced by the Ministry of Justice.

Despite this progress, the institution's union expressed criticisms regarding staff management, stating that there is a shortage of 270 registrars and 2,731 officials to ensure effective operations. This lack of personnel could jeopardize the continuity of the plan to clear administrative backlogs, which has been in place since the new targets were implemented.

The presentation of the plan's results was met with concern from union representatives, who are calling for a boost in human resources to prevent a resurgence of delays in processing cases. The figures indicate a significant effort by the IRN, but the union's response highlights the need for more staff.

The Ministry of Justice continues to assess working conditions and the situation across various services, taking into account complaints made by workers, who foresee a scenario of instability in the management of future processes.
