Isar Aerospace's rocket successfully launches into space
Isar Aerospace's Spectrum rocket has successfully completed its second test flight from the Norwegian spaceport Andøya.

The Spectrum rocket from the Bavarian aerospace startup Isar Aerospace has embarked on its second test flight. The launch took place on Saturday evening at 10:12 PM from the spaceport Andøya in Norway, as shown in a livestream. This mission follows the first attempt, which ended in a crash just 30 seconds after liftoff in March 2025.
Following the successful launch, the transmission tracked the events for about ten minutes before the connection to the rocket was lost due to maximum range. Information about the further course of the mission is currently unavailable.

Isar Aerospace aims to facilitate access to space with its launch vehicles. The Spectrum rocket is designed to transport smaller satellites into orbit and represents a significant step for the company.
The company was able to gain experience from the first test mission, which has now informed the planning and execution of the second launch. This is an important test as part of the development of the aerospace project.
