Isar Aerospace has announced a new attempt with its Spectrum rocket. This follows a failed first launch attempt in which the rocket crashed into the sea after 30 seconds.
The new launch date is now set: the rocket is scheduled to lift off on Saturday evening at 10 PM CEST from the Norwegian spaceport Andøya. The Bavaria-based company has high hopes for this rescheduled attempt.
According to reports, the first attempt failed in 2025, prompting engineers at Isar Aerospace to revise their strategy to ensure the rocket launch proceeds successfully.
The current mission represents another step in the development of small launch vehicles in space exploration. Isar Aerospace aims to carve out a niche in the growing satellite launch market with the Spectrum rocket.
