Israel rejects Gaza plan, Hamas confirms commitment

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the U.S. plan for Gaza, emphasizing that there will be no withdrawal of Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) without the complete disarmament of Hamas. Netanyahu stated that as long as he remains in office, no Palestinian state will be allowed, according to various sources.

Netanyahu has received support from the hardline faction of his government for his decisive stance, asserting that while the United States has proposed ideas, not all of them are shared and Israel knows how to defend its positions.

In response to the rejection, Hamas stated that it is ready to adhere to the agreements related to the Board of Peace strategy for Gaza. The organization urged the United States to exert pressure to implement the proposed plan.

Regarding contacts between Iran and the United States, it has emerged that Tehran communicated that interactions are only occurring indirectly. The Pasdaran, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces, added that an agreement with Oman does not imply a reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

On the same day, the Houthis, active in Yemen, launched an attack against Saudi forces at the port of al-Makha, further highlighting regional tensions.

Netanyahu's rejection of the plan was officially communicated nine days after the offer, which Washington had presented as a historic agreement.
