The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) initiated a 27.5-hour countdown for the GSLV-F17 launch, with the rocket lifting off carrying the Earth observation satellite EOS-05 from Sriharikota. This satellite is notable for being India’s first imaging satellite capable of monitoring from a geosynchronous orbit approximately 36,000 km above the Earth.
ISRO announced that the GSLV-F17 completed a flight lasting about 19 minutes before the satellite was successfully placed into its intended orbit, marking a significant achievement in India's satellite capabilities. The satellite separated from the launch vehicle and was positioned in a sub-geosynchronous orbit according to ISRO's updates.
