Jakarta Airport Suspends Flights Due to Anak Krakatau Ash
Flights at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport are suspended due to ash from the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau, affecting numerous international routes.

Mount Anak Krakatau has erupted, resulting in the suspension of flights at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. This decision extends a prior halt that was set to last until 5:30 am and has impacted at least 33 flights.
Passengers traveling to or from various international destinations are affected, including Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Doha, as reported by the airport's website. Flight delays and cancellations were announced for Sunday.

Singapore Airlines has confirmed the cancellation of two flights on Saturday, and has since rescheduled two others to and from Jakarta. AirAsia also modified its flight schedules in response to the closure.
The Indonesian authorities state that operations at the airport are suspended due to the volcanic ash, and further updates are expected as conditions evolve.
