Argentine President Javier Milei travels to Washington to receive an award and will participate in an event at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where he will be recognized as a 'world champion of free enterprise.' This trip comes amid a series of statements and meetings that reinforce his political position and alliances in the continent.

During a gala in Washington, Milei expressed his support for Donald Trump, urging that he emerges strengthened from the upcoming legislative elections in the United States. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of these elections for the West and highlighted the need for a stronger conservative alliance in America.

In addition to his support for Trump, Milei made strong criticisms towards Brazilian President Lula, labeling him a 'communist dictator.' These remarks were made in the presence of the Hispanic community, including Eduardo Bolsonaro, brother of the Brazilian candidate who is preparing for the runoff election on October 25.

The event in Washington comes as the Argentine government sent a message to Pope Leo XIV, who is recovering from surgery, according to local media reports. This frames Milei's trip within a series of actions that include his administration's communication with international leaders.

Mixed opinions also emerged from the political sphere in Argentina. Emilio Monzó, referring to Sergio Massa, stated that he is a leader with the ability to engage in dialogue and the power to turn agreements into reality, highlighting the internal political dynamics in the country during the president’s decisions.

Meanwhile, incidents were reported in Argentina's Congress, where a vehicle from LN+ was attacked and reporter Carla Ricciotti had to be protected by left-wing leaders after being hit by an object. These events reflect the current climate of political tension in the country.
