Jessica Schilder qualified for the shot put final at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham on Monday. The defending champion needed just one attempt to surpass the qualifying distance.
According to NU.nl, Schilder threw far enough on her first attempt to easily qualify for the final. NRC reports that this marks her third consecutive European Championship title, with performance well above her competitors.
In her reaction, Schilder stated that she must continue to set goals for herself, even though she has been performing at a high level for the past year and a half.
