Jonas Vingegaard, a Danish cyclist and two-time winner of the Tour de France, will not participate in any more races this season. This was announced by his team, Visma - Lease a Bike. The reason is a clavicle fracture that Vingegaard sustained during the 15th stage of this year's Tour de France.

After the serious fall, Vingegaard's return to training has been delayed. The cycling star continues to suffer from the lingering effects of the injury and is therefore unable to compete.

According to the team, Vingegaard will also be unable to participate in the World Championships, scheduled to take place from September 20 to 27 in Canada. This news has been confirmed by several sources, including BRF and Südtirol News.

Reports about Vingegaard's injury and its consequences, as well as the official confirmation from his team, have appeared in various media outlets such as Der Tagesspiegel and sportschau.de. His withdrawal from the season marks the end of an eventful period for the athlete.

Vingegaard had celebrated significant successes in the previous season, but the injury has thwarted plans for a successful comeback this year. In recent months, he has been a key figure in cycling, especially during the Tour de France.

The announcement of his withdrawal from competition has also been reported by specialist publications such as Tages-Anzeiger and DER STANDARD, where the ongoing complaints about his injury were discussed. His return to competitive cycling remains uncertain.
