Matthew Brennan claims third stage victory in Vuelta a España
Matthew Brennan has secured his third victory in the Vuelta a España, thanks to strong support from his team Visma-Lease a Bike.

Matthew Brennan achieved his third stage victory in the Vuelta a España on Wednesday. The British sprinter from Visma-Lease a Bike showcased his speed in the mass sprint in Lorca.
This stage was marked as one of the few routes actually suitable for sprinters in this edition of the Vuelta. The breakaway riders had minimal gains, while most of the ride was a straight line to the finish, with just one small climb en route.
Brennan benefited from a strong lead-out from his teammate Wout van Aert, allowing him to win the sprint. Following his victory, he raised three fingers in the air, signaling his third win.

According to reports, Bryan Coquard of Cofidis finished second, followed by Jordi Meeus of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe. Brennan's performances highlight his debut in a Grand Tour, where he immediately demonstrates his speed.
A notable fact is that he is the first rider to win three stages in his debut Grand Tour since Tadej Pogacar also accomplished this in the 2019 Vuelta. This underscores Brennan's remarkable achievement in this edition.
The strong performances of the Visma-Lease a Bike team contributed to Brennan's success, as he attributes his victory to the support of his teammates.
