Kevin Danso joins Sunderland on loan, David Affengruber moves to Fulham
Kevin Danso signs with AFC Sunderland, while David Affengruber completes a transfer to Fulham.

Kevin Danso, a member of the Austrian national football team (ÖFB), has joined AFC Sunderland on loan in the Premier League. According to kicker, the loan comes with an obligation to buy, which kicks in if Sunderland avoids relegation. Tottenham Hotspur, Danso's current club, could see a profit if the player is permanently signed.
At the same time, former Sturm Graz defender David Affengruber has completed a permanent transfer to Fulham. The transfer was announced on Deadline Day, shortly before the transfer window closed at midnight local time in London.
Affengruber is leaving the Spanish club Elche, with reports suggesting the transfer fee is between ten to twelve million euros. The 25-year-old center-back has signed a contract until 2030 and underwent a medical check in London before the move.

With these transfers, both Danso and Affengruber will become part of the increasing Austrian presence in the Premier League. Danso follows Austrian players Konrad Laimer, David Alaba, Gernot Trauner, and Affengruber in actively competing in the league.
The movement in the transfer market indicates that both players are seeking new challenges and wish to continue their careers on the international stage. The coaches of both clubs are also pleased with the signings, which reinforces the assessments of the sporting management.
