Kevin Danso joins Sunderland on loan from Tottenham
Austrian national team defender Kevin Danso has signed a loan deal with Sunderland on the final day of the transfer window.

Kevin Danso, a defender for the Austrian national team, is joining AFC Sunderland on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. The transfer was announced on the final day of the transfer window in the English Premier League, and Danso is expected to be with the 'Black Cats' until the end of the current season.
According to reports from English media, there could also be an obligation to buy for £25 million (€29.2 million). If this comes into effect, Danso could become the most expensive Austrian footballer to date.

The move comes as Danso seeks more playing time, which he hopes to find at Sunderland. There, he will join players like Granit Xhaka and Thomas Meunier, who are also competing in the Premier League.
Sunderland currently plays in the Premier League and finished last season in seventh place. The club is hoping to strengthen its defense with Danso, who will soon be active for the Europa League starter.
