Kyrgyzstan simplifies medical requirements for gun owners

A proposal to simplify medical examinations for gun owners and security personnel is under discussion in Kyrgyzstan.

The Kyrgyz government is planning to change the medical certificate requirements for citizens wishing to apply for a gun permit, as well as for private security personnel. The draft of a corresponding cabinet decision, prepared by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has been put up for public discussion.

In addition to the changes in medical procedures, there are plans to revise the catalog of medical contraindications for gun ownership. Details about further proposals are currently not available, as the draft is still under discussion.
