Kyrgyzstan plans legalization of vehicles with modified steering systems
Kyrgyzstan is discussing allowing the registration of vehicles with modified steering systems that originate from abroad.

In Kyrgyzstan, it is proposed to allow the registration of vehicles with foreign license plates that have had their steering wheel moved from the right side to the left side. This proposal is part of a project to change the legal framework for the final legalization of such vehicles, which is currently open for public discussion.
The Ministry of Economy states that there are only a few of these vehicles in Kyrgyzstan, which is why registration can be considered. However, all vehicles that are to be registered must undergo a specific inspection process.
The exact conditions and requirements for registration and inspection have not yet been finalized and are currently under negotiation as part of the public discussion.
