The Lok Sabha has passed the Tribunals Reforms Bill, which aims to create a panel responsible for overseeing appointments to various national tribunals. This approval came during a session where opposition protests were prevalent, resulting in the House proceeding without any debate.
According to reports, the bill was cleared by a voice vote, and the Law Minister stated that it would enhance the transparency and uniformity of the selection process for tribunal members and chiefs.
