The stage that Wiebes won spanned 159 kilometers, starting and finishing in Cockermouth. This marks Wiebes' eighth stage win in her career in this WorldTour race, making her the record holder for the most stage victories in the Tour of Britain.
Wiebes' victory reaffirms her status as one of the strongest sprinters in current cycling. This season, she has secured her sixteenth victory, underscoring her impressive form.
At the same time, the ultra-short prologue in the Tour of Germany was won by Isaac Del Toro, which also drew some attention in the cycling world.
