Luis de la Fuente extends contract as Spain coach until 2032

Luis de la Fuente extends his contract with the Royal Spanish Football Federation after winning the World Cup. The new agreement also covers the 2030 World Cup and the Euro 2024 in Italy and Turkey.

Luis de la Fuente has extended his contract as coach of Spain until 2032, as announced by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). This new agreement will last for six years and includes preparations for the 2030 World Cup and the Euro 2024 to be held in Italy and Turkey.

The 65-year-old coach was first appointed as the national team manager in 2013. De la Fuente led the team to victory in the 2026 World Cup, as well as triumphs in a European Championship and a Nations League title during his tenure.

The RFEF's decision was formalized during a meeting of its executive committee in Madrid. With this renewal, the federation demonstrates its confidence in the work De la Fuente has done over the years.
