Luís Neves reaffirms commitment to government amid criticism
The Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, assures that he will continue to govern despite the criticisms and accusations directed at him.

Luís Neves, Minister of Internal Administration, made statements this Sunday in Madeira, where he defended himself against the criticisms he has received, labeling them as lies. He stated, "They can keep shouting, I will continue to govern." Neves is determined to fulfill his term until the end, as he reiterated during the event.
The minister mentioned that he feels motivated to combat populism, noting that this struggle is an additional reason to remain in office. This statement was made while he responded to attacks that he considers part of the "chaos agenda" associated with the party Chega, led by André Ventura.
Neves also argued that there should be an effective use of seized assets in the fight against crime, emphasizing the need to redirect them to support initiatives that combat criminal activities.

In various statements, Neves expressed being "solid as a rock" in the Government, highlighting his intention to participate in Parliament on September 8. He further defended himself against the accusations, suggesting that they are fueled by "envy."
In addition to his remarks on the criticisms, Neves reaffirmed his position and commitment to continue in government roles, downplaying the shouts and discontent that have come from opponents.
This firmness in his position not only involves responding to criticisms but also reflects his vision on the role of the Government and public security policy, which he considers essential for maintaining order and combating criminality.
