President Lula's (PT) reelection campaign has expressed its intention to reverse popular support for Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) in the second round of the presidential elections. Marco Aurélio de Carvalho, coordinator of Lula's campaign, stated that the solution for this turnaround is not a 'silver bullet,' but rather the figure of Flávio Bolsonaro himself.

Regarding Flávio Bolsonaro's campaign, Senator Rogério Marinho (PL-RN), coordinator of the candidacy, commented that discussions about a possible candidacy for the presidency of the Senate will only occur after the second round. Marinho emphasized that such analysis is premature at this stage of the electoral competition.

Rogério Marinho also announced that he will meet with Edson Fachin, president of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), to discuss judicial decisions that could impact the Superior Electoral Court (TSE). The meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, October 6, at 1 PM, according to released information.

In this context, Marinho also revealed a proposal to modify internal Senate rules to facilitate the initiation of impeachment requests. He suggested that a request signed by 49 senators would be sufficient to trigger this process, regardless of approval from the president of the House, currently Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP).

Additionally, the coordinator of Flávio's campaign fell ill after an agenda in Goiânia, being taken to a hospital in Brasília. Marinho's office reported that he was hospitalized with gastroenteritis but was released the following morning, October 7. The medical report confirmed that his condition was considered good.

Finally, Flávio Bolsonaro's campaign received formal support from five parties, including Podemos. This shift may impact the electoral dynamics, prompting Lula to reassess his strategies to regain lost votes.
