Lusa workers' committee calls on Aguiar-Branco over Chega deputy's threats
The Lusa Workers' Committee condemned threats from Chega deputy Pedro Frazão, seeking intervention from the president of the Assembly of the Republic.

On Wednesday, the Lusa Workers' Committee (CT) expressed its condemnation regarding the threats and insults made by Chega deputy Pedro Frazão. The appeal was directed at the president of the Assembly of the Republic, Aguiar-Branco, to intervene in the situation.
During a recording shared on social media, Frazão, who is also the vice-president of Chega's National Directorate, made statements considered a "serious threat" to the journalists of the Lusa agency.

The CT of Lusa describes these statements as concerning actions from an "elected deputy," emphasizing the severity of the incident and the need for an institutional response.
The incident raises questions about the conduct of elected representatives and the impact of their words on the workplace environment and press freedom.
