Major General Fawzi Mansouri, head of military intelligence in eastern Libya, was killed in Benghazi in a car bomb attack. The explosive device was reportedly placed in his vehicle in the al-Hawari area, near the Sayyida Aisha mosque.
Local authorities have launched an investigation to identify those responsible for the attack. Currently, no credible claims of responsibility have been reported regarding the incident.
