Prior to the surgery, Anwar was reported to be undergoing medical examinations and checks. His medical team is now supervising his recovery, which includes physiotherapy treatments to facilitate healing and ensure the recovery process proceeds smoothly.

Anwar's medical issues have included recurrent shoulder and back problems, complicating his health situation. These ongoing health concerns have drawn media attention, especially given his age and the demands of his role as Prime Minister since 2022.

In response to Anwar's surgery, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended wishes for a swift recovery, referring to Anwar as a 'brother.' This gesture reflects the close ties between the two leaders and their countries.

The head of Anwar's medical team, Sri Ranga Abdullah Ramaiah, has reiterated that the Prime Minister is under strict medical watch, emphasizing that the healthcare professionals are attentive to his recovery needs.

Medical reports state that Anwar will continue to be monitored as he progresses through physiotherapy. The situation remains under careful observation to ensure his well-being as he returns to his official duties.
